God sought communion with us, His created children by fostering a relationship with us. It took humankind collectively several thousand years and many dispensations to temper our approach to the LORD with reverence and love.Act 2:38 & 39a
But as mankind groaned under the weight of sin, God prepared a body to teach us how to be redeemed in Him. We, mankind, finally learned to approached God in a spirit of humility to the point that one hundred twenty (120) disciples received the salvations that was promised from the beginning of our world. We now have the right to identify with God and His saving grace! By His word, the Bible and our faith we align ourselves with Him in His death at Calvary, burial and resurrection dying out to our sinful flesh through repentance, submitting ourselves to the burial of that tainted flesh and being born into a new life as a new creature, by baptism in the name of Jesus Christ.
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
For the promise is unto you. . . .
We receive for our obeisance a portion of His glory, the earnest of our inheritance with Him--the indwelling of the Holy Ghost, and proclaim His power and glory when we speak in a heavenly, spiritual tongue or language. Mark 16:17.
And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Now we understand! We do not forsake this eternal life.
Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable gift!
