It is the low places and the places of burning which can bring us forth as gold, or turn us into a bitter, hateful person who cares nothing for the feelings of others.

Hebrew 11:4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

2Peter 1:17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

These are also the words the LORD longs to speak concerning all of his sons. That within those who belong to Him, He hopes to find a sanctuary of refreshing. For we are His sanctuary and temple.

Daniel 6:3 Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him. And the king was planning to set him over all the kingdom.

In Daniel's excellent spirit was found the spirit and anointing of Almighty God. God Himself used him because he was faithful in prayers and ordinances of the Hebrew life though in a foreign land. He kept the faith that was delivered to him in his life. He lived for the LORD with his whole heart, thought it caused him to be thrown to the lions. Even with his life was in danger; he kept his faith in the faithfulness of the LORD God.

As Job did not charge God foolishly when he lost every worldly possession, also Daniel also did not when he found himself in danger. He kept his integrity. He did not complain, but rested in God. Knowing that the LORD, who was faithful could deliver him and bring him to an expected end. Because he also had faith in God, it was counted to him as an excellent spirit and rewarded with the riches of the Spirit of God himself in dreams, visions and interpretations on the things of the LORD even to talking with angels.

There were others with excellent spirits like Abraham, Job, the Hebrew
