-tual prowess, for the gifts of the Spirit are given by the spirit of God Himself.

 

 

He is concerned with what we return to him, of what nature that is. If our hearts are conformed to this world or to His spirit that is imperative to Him and to us. Is our mind being renewed? King David said; give me a clean heart and a right spirit. And that the Word of God would light his path. We know that the path of life is in God's word and in his hands.

 

Luke 10:27: And he answering said, Thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself.

As a beginning, loving the LORD first, and with all of our hearts, mind, soul and strength, is the beginning of having an excellent spirit. This is the first commandment. Jesus said that if a person would love Him, they will keep his commandments. A perfect heart is concerned with what gives pleasure to the one that he loves. Love causes a great surrender. If the love is for the LORD, it will bring about the workings toward an excellent spirit, because we love Him first.

 

Luke 6:43 For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

Luke 6:44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. .

 

Being sincere and honest in our service to the LORD is the vital ingredient. If we fast, he said it must be purposeful and not for others to see. And indeed we should endeavor to pray in a special closet of our heart, home and mind. The living sacrifice that we are to be for the LORD is what we will be graded on, not what others do to or against us. The choices made in the valley determine much for our future.

The LORD is concerned with what we return to Him, of what nature that is.
