We sing about it, we say it to one another, God Bless You, and some of us wear it on our T-shirts, To blessed to be stressed. when all said and done all of that kind of acknowledgement is good; but if one was to take a survey of several people and get them to be honest enough to admit it, what comes to their mind, when some one mentions to them, that they will receive a blessing, one of the first thoughts that will come to their minds is that they will receive a financial blessing; there nothing wrong thinking that; after all the bible states that, money answereth all things. (Ecclesiasties 10:19); but to me, thinking about what it means to be blessed goes beyond having ones need taken care of; liken to when Jesus was on earth, and when he fed the five thousands and four thousand fish and loaves; Jesus was capable of performing beyond human survival; feeding them took care of that need for that moment. It is true that he healed the blind, raised the dead, and healed the lame, and so on, that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. (John 21:25) To be blessed goes beyond having a good paying job, driving a decent card, and having money in the banking, okay, again, it is good to give thanks to the Lord concerning these things, because having everything that was just stated above takes care of human nature needs; one needs a job, if one does not work, he can t eat (2Thessalonians 3:10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat). and we needs vehicles to get to one location to another; having a job, having� comfortable sum of money is not going to last always, it is taking care what human nature requires at the time. Money can not buy you happiness when everything is going wrong at one time and neither can it buy you peace when you are experiencing a crisis or if you experience a loved one that passes away, or what about when you are trying to make a life changing experience. It is a true blessing to know |
