Mat 3:4 And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.
The hair is also a sign of humility and submission as it was in the case of the nazarite and prophet. The Lord that desires to impart the covering, which to Him and the angels represents submission, and brings Him nearer to that individual for the original purpose and power of the Lord to be realized.
1Corinthians 11:10 For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head (the covering of hair) because of the angels.
In the New Testament, we see that a woman who is commanded to be under submission will dishonor her head, or authority if she does not allow her God- given covering to grow freely.
1Corinthians 11:15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.
