thinking, where as a woman relies on emotions in some turbulent decisions.  He has the final say in family situations.
The father is a type of God in the family. He has a very important and demanding role. If he fulfills his role as God would, he will reap many rewards, Faithful children, a loving wife, the respect of the community, and the favor of God.
So this is the challenge for every father, to be the reigning "god" of their family, exemplifying the love, leadership, peace, security, provisions and wisdom of God.

The Lord Jesus said:

Luke 24: 45: Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, 46: And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: 47: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

The Apostle Peter said:

Acts 2:38: Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

The Bible says:

Acts 2:4: And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
